Today, the Black Mesa Chief Strategy Officer announced their intent to investigate the infested zone near Edmonton, which has been nothing short of forsaken land for the past two decades.

The reopening of the Black Mesa Research Facility has been highly controversial, as easily proven by the recent cyber and open terror attack attempts on the facility. While the newly-recruited Private Military Company protecting the facility has proven highly effective, it remains controversial.
This move to investigate the infested zone seems to be a show of goodwill, but this reporter is not convinced that this will last. Black Mesa is a notorious research facility that performs highly unethical research, and the sudden switch around seems to be simply misleading.

Whether or not this is a publicity stunt, Black Mesa's team is heading into an obvious disaster. Even special operations teams are known to disappear inside of those occasionally. No one really knows what kind of dangers they possess.

One's hubris always inevitably leads to one's nemesis.
